Mineral County is the narrow Clark Fork canyon county west of Missoula — Superior is the county seat. The Clark Fork River runs through the Bitterroot & Coeur d’Alene mountain country toward Idaho. About 2,800 active rights, the smallest count in western Montana. Most of the county is USFS land.
